Patient Vaccines

UPDATE (4/20/10)

  - Season flu mists are available

  - Seasonal flu shots are available

The Cost will be billed to your insurance. Most insurance plans do not require copayment for immunization only visits.

Parent Vaccines

You will be charged $30 out of pocket. Parents may only recieve a flu shot, not the flu mist.

Who is eligible for flu mist?

Children over the age of 2 may receive flu mist.  Children who have asthma or have had wheezing in the past 6-10 months are not eligible for flu mist.  Also, anyone who is pregnant may not receive flu mist.

How many vaccines will my child need this flu season?

Children who have received the flu vaccine will need one vaccine. Children who are less than 9 years old and have never received the flu vaccine before will need two vaccines (flu shot or flu mist). The second dose must be at least 4 weeks after the first dose.

H1N1 Flu

UPDATE (4/20/10)

  - H1N1 flu mists are available

  - H1N1 flu shots are available

These vaccines will be free to you (your insurance will be charged a nominal administration fee) and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will continue to receive shipments of H1N1 vaccine over the next several weeks and do not anticipate a shortage.

  • If your child received the seasonal flu mist there must be a month between the seasonal flu mist and the H1N1 flu mist (or they can get the injectable vaccine as soon as it arrives)
  • If your child is under 2 they are not eligible for the flu mist.
  • If your child is under the age of 9 they will need 2 vaccines one month apart.
  • Anyone with asthma or wheezing cannot have any flu mist but can have the flu shot.
